Kathmandu Dhulikhel Tour – 5 Days

Dhulikhel situated at 30 K.M far from Kathmandu Located towards the East of Kathmandu valley . we drive along the Kathmandu Lhasa trade route or Aranico Highway. Culturally rich and natural beauty Dhulikhel is an old Newari town. Dhulikhel is an ideal place for relaxation and a perfect stop for visitors. There is many interesting day hiking trips and short treks. Dhulikhel’s rich cultural heritage expresses itself in old brick buildings, temples, Newari architecture and quiet cobbled lanes.
Day 1: Arrival on Kathmandu (1350m)
The views of the snow clad mountain peaks indicate that you have entered the country of the Himalayans where the people here are as diverse as the cultures here, where there is always something happening somewhere. Upon arrival, you will meet with MSM Tours and Treks representative at the airport who will assist and help you transfer to a Hotel. Overnight accommodation will be in hotel.
Day 2: Sight-seeing tour around Kathmandu
After breakfast, we will have a full day guided sight –seeing tour around Kathmandu where you can feast your eyes on the rich and colorful history of the country. The tour includes Kathmandu Durbar Square- houses the old royal palace of the Kathmandu kingdom, Monkey Temple- swarming with monkeys, Pashupatinath- one of the most significant Hindu temple of Lord Shiva in the world, Boudha Stupa- one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Kathmandu. One will be able to appreciate how the country is as it is. From the top of the Monkey Temple to the fluttering of the colorful prayer flags at Boudha Stupa, you will be able to understand the way of life of the people in the Kathmandu Valley. Overnight accommodation will be in a hotel.
Day 3: Sight-seeing tour around Patan and Bhaktapur
After breakfast, we will have a guided sight- seeing around Patan- rich in cultural heritage, especially in tradition arts and crafts, Bhaktapur- city of devotees and is a center of potter and intriguing masks. The tour also includes Durbar Square, Krishna Temple, Mahaboudha, Hiranya Verna Mahavihar, etc at Patan and Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Taumadhi Square, Dattatreya Square, Pottery Square, Nyatapola Temple. Form this tour, you will be able to understand and see how religion has been ingrained and preserved into the way of life of the people here.
Day 4: Drive to Dhulikhel
We will be getting to Dhulikhel by bus. It is a delightful place renowned for its traditional buildings, where most of the Newari lifestyle is still intact and offers spectacular snow clad mountains. Dhulikhel is a stage of immense beauty and a paradise for nature lovers. We will be taking some very pleasant short treks around the area. We will hike for 4 to 5 hours and then we take drive on local transport around 30 to 45 minute. At Dhulikhel you will have your lunch, afterwards explore around the village. Overnight accommodation will be in a hotel.
Day 5: Back to Kathmandu and Departure
You will be waking up early in the morning to view nature at its best, as the surreal sight of sunrise greets you which will rejuvenate your senses. You will be spending some time exploring the natural surroundings of Dhulikhe and after having breakfast board back to Kathmandu for departure.
